Yikes, folks. My life has been super busy just like yours. There are so many things I want to accomplish. Today, I managed to register a gravatar so you can see what I look like. I know that I should have home pages and landing pages and an introductory podcast… but I haven’t done all that yet. There is so much information that I want to share and I have so much to learn about WordPress. So bear with me because this blog is my classroom for the moment.
The photo is of my broken wheelbarrow (needs a new wheel) and a new rain barrel. My son Eric is doing so much to help me! He is going to repair the wheelbarrow so I can take it back to Sapphire, NC. Sapphire is in the Western NC mountains and I am headed back there tomorrow. The wheelbarrow will be used to load wood chips for the Rice Community Garden in Brevard. You can see some more info here: http://www.stphilipsbrevard.org/communitygarden.html
The rain barrel is already installed in the Raleigh house and I am doing little rain dances because I am so excited to see it in action! We get too much rain in the mountains, but Raleigh can suffer from the drought so we plan to install rain barrels on all four gutters.
There is a lot of news to come. I plan to do a post on Farmers Markets in Raleigh as we having been discovering some great local producers. Stay tuned!
